Danish Gold Council Statement
It is not with joy, but everything in this world has an end, and Danish Gold has reached that point.
After some talks at the latest DG party in august 2004, Sphinx and Turtle thought it was a good idea to close down the group ... this is NOT because of internal fights, arguments or what ever, but because there is no reason to keep a group alive where almost nothing happens ... and a name isnt everything.
We had many funny times during the time that DG was alive, and i guess there is no need to mention our past and fame on the good old c64 ... those where the days ... "beam me back scotty"
The final word of closing the group was ofcourse up to our founder CAB ... and after a phonetalk tonight he also agreed on closing it down ...
So to all our friends around the globe, we say a big thanx for all the funny times we had ... and ofcourse also to all the members that has been in our great group ...
Many of our old friends are still the same, but the scene is totally different from the old days, and if you ask us, there is no scene today on computers ... Today the so called scene is all about credits and fxping, and only a few old boozers knows that it should be about real longlife friendship ... It's sad, but it's the truth ...
